- Mercerism: Doing what is wrong as a neccesary thing
- Fake: Fake toad and probably fake spider "given" by mercer to characters, Mercer himself proven as fake.
- Control- Batty makes comment about hitler in regards to Mercer.
- Cycle: perpertual death and rebirth by mercer, shared experience of others.
